MUSICIAN AND CLASSICAL DANCE ARTIST FROM VARANASI
Music
in Varanasi is a folklore associated to the ancient set of the Pauranic
legends. Lord Shiva, who is reported to have established this town, was
credited with developing melody and frisk forms. Legend also attributes that
Renu, son of sage Vishvamitra and Mahagobind, was the precursors of music
doctrine in Kashi (Varanasi) when nymphs (Apsaras), Gandharvas and Kinnaras

Notable musicologists from Varanasi include Prem Lata Sharma[10] and Jayadeva Singh.. Since 1998, he is the capital exponent with flamenco dancer Ana la China in the highly acclaimed Flamenco-Kathak plant “From Banaras to Jerez” which has been played in many cities of Europe. He is also playing with other artists of westward styles, with contemporary dancer Emilio Artessero Quesada and with remarkable Swiss Jazz musicians such as Maurice Magnoni and Claude Jordan.
The music tradition of Banaras has been the most refined in
the world. It is due to its soil that

He was settled in Vranasi.

special in the formation of Thumari, Tappa, Dhhamal, Dhrupad, Khayal,
etc. In
ancient
